Balmory Stables is a historic property set in an incredibly picturesque rural location on the fringe of the serene hamlet of Ascog and is perfect for hunters and their dogs and only 400m metres from the sea. Follow the pathway from your front door and into the mature beech hedge-sheltered gardens with a stream running through it. Spot deer feeding on the grass and relax under the shady boughs or continue towards Scoulag Moor for lovely views over the rolling countryside.

The Location

Balmory Stables is a 19th century stable conversion completely renovated to impeccably high modern standards. Guests can book either the South Wing which sleeps four, the North Wing that sleeps six, or both, for a large family or group of friends’ getaway. Both wings are open plan and feature state-of-the-art kitchens and entertainment areas, modern log burners, and bedrooms with designer touches such as decorative Victorian fireplaces and bathrooms with underfloor heating. Being hunter friendly, some entrances are purposely fitted with hoses, towels and treats for your dogs after a day in the wilds.
